Government points: A base card is not required for mobile SIM but this must be provided                      No longer need a support card to take a mobile SIM card. Other such driving licenses, passports and water ID cards are also sufficient to provide identity proof to government mobile operators. Telecom Secretary Arun Sunder Raj told that mobile companies have been asked to comply with immediate effect, so that users will not face difficulties    On April 27, a Times of India report said that no SIM card is given to those who do not have a support card. The Supreme Court had already clarified that till the court does not make any final order, the support card for the SIM card is not inevitable.            Sundararajan told the Times of India that the Ministry has directed all telecom companies to say that if a person does not have a support card, then they can not refuse to give a SIM card. Mobile companies are putting emphasis on the authenticity of the base card based on the instructions given by the Department of Telecom. The telecom department said that this direction was made after the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Lokniti Foundation, but the High Court has made it clear that he has not made any such order. The government is concerned about the problems facing the nation, the NRI and the foreigners
NRIs and foreigners coming to the
country, are not only concerned about the support issue but also the foreigners coming to the country. Retailers of mobile companies stopped giving them SIM cards. There is no comment from mobile operators so far. But according to official sources, the government has taken this matter very seriously. cilick hare
