Why the Supreme Court, Google, Facebook, WhatsApp 1-1 lakh penalty                                                                     The Supreme Court has turned red on social media and search engines on Monday. In which a fine of Rs 1-1 lakh was imposed by Internet companies including yahoo, Whatsapp, Facebook, Google, Microsoft. All these companies did not submit their reply in the time limit given by the Supreme Court. The court had earlier ordered that the offending sexual video be removed from the social media site. Where the deletion proceedings reached, the report was submitted to the court. But these companies did not submit the report.
On Monday, the bench, comprising Justices Madan Lokur and Justice Lalit, ordered the deposit of one lakh penalties for the companies, including Facebook Arabia, working in India, besides these five.
The Dhu court also asked to present a progress report by June 15. The Supreme Court had already directed the government and these companies to encourage sexual harassment, and remove the infringing videos from the social media site. Additionally, after removing these videos, the arrangement of filtering should not be arranged for new videos to be uploaded. For this, the companies had to submit a report to the court about what they were doing and what they were doing Meanwhile, the government told the court that on the issue of cyber crime we have prepared a portal for online complaint. The portal will be launched on July 15. But the court said that the portal has also given enough time to the home ministry. For now, the portal should be started by June 30. The Home Ministry also asked the court to take various steps to blog on pornographic sites and content internet. There are numerous pornographic videos and other content on the Internet. Now the Internet is widely used and children are not excluded from the use.
